Before Obzor's big holiday, Svoboda Square fills with scents and song. On 23 June at 18:30 the community ensembles lay out the Enyovden feast: a food bazaar of homemade dishes and an open-air folklore concert.
Who sings and cooks
The hosts are the ensembles of the Izgrev 1927 community centre in Obzor. They are joined on stage by the Zharava women's group, the Rakovchanka group from the village of Rakovskovo, and the Probuda 2016 ensemble from the village of Banya.
A table for good health
The Enyovden feast follows an old tradition: on the threshold of Enyovden, herbs, food and song come together, and the wishes are for good health all year round. It is also a fine chance to taste homemade food prepared by local people.
