The first August horoteka brings Bulgarian folk dancing to Svoboda Square.
What to expect
The first horoteka opens a series of four August evenings of Bulgarian folk dancing. You can join the horo even if you do not know the steps: the person next to you will lead, and the rhythm does the rest. The whole square becomes the dance floor and starts the weekly rhythm.

About the venue
Svoboda Square
Svoboda Square is the central square of Obzor. Columns from the Roman temple of Jupiter, Templum Iovis, stand on it, and the seaside promenade nearby is closed to cars. Events here happen in the open, with nobody checking tickets at a door, and most of the municipal summer programme is free. The car park on the square itself is by subscription; paid parking is by the Town Hall, along Ribarska Street, next to the Obzor Beach Resort and by the town stadium.
