Puppet theatre for the little ones: "The Giant Turnip" on Svoboda Square
- When:
- 21 June 2026, 18:00
- Where:
- Svoboda Square
Summer in Obzor is for the little ones too. On 21 June at 18:00 Svoboda Square turns into a stage for puppet theatre, and the old tale of the grandfather pulling up a turnip comes to life in front of the children.
What to expect
The show "The Giant Turnip" is staged by the Male Male puppet theatre, directed and designed by Krasi Kirchev. Afterwards the children are invited to a creative workshop, "The Magic of Play", where they can join in themselves. Admission is free.
The tale we all know
"The Giant Turnip" is one of the first stories we hear as children: the grandfather calls the grandmother, the grandmother calls the granddaughter, and so on until their combined effort finally pulls the huge turnip free. A short tale with a simple lesson that always plays out cheerfully on a puppet stage.
