Why go

Ecopath Kaleto is one of the easiest ways to see Obzor beyond the beach. The route is roughly 2.2 km and starts near the northwestern edge of town, quickly trading coastal sun for greenery, shade and running water.

What to expect

The route passes through the Gabara area, where views open toward the town and sea, before dropping into denser shade. Recognized stops include Ayazmoto, Bear's Fountain and Parvomayska Polyana, a larger meadow with benches, swings and picnic spots. A short branch near the meadow leads toward a mountain waterfall. The trail itself continues uphill to the sparse remains of the medieval Kaleto (Kozyak) fortress at the top of the hill.

Good to know

Wear proper walking shoes and bring water, especially in summer. After rain, parts of the route can be slippery, so treat it as a light hike rather than a beach-sandal stroll.
